OP APROLI
APROLI is an agricultural cooperative which was established in 1978 as an agricultural association. It eventually became an OP (organization of olive growers) headquartered in Bari, Italy.
Its activities, however, branch out into most of the Apulian territory, including the provinces of Bari and Bat.
At present it counts more than 1154 affiliated members. Thanks to a large team of professionals, including technicians and agronomists, APROLI can constantly improve the quality of the oil and at the same time guarantee environmental protection and food safety.
In such regard, one of APROLI main goals is to spread among olive growers the knowledge about good farming practices and sustainable agriculture culture.
Società Agricola actually stands out for its frequent initiatives to promote among its associates development, research and study projects, so vital in this historical context.
APROLI strongly believes in production reconversion and rationalization, as well as in environmental protection.
Therefore, such initiatives have always been one of its paramount goals. Through decades of experience, experts were able to adopt farming techniques counteracting agents and conditions which would negatively impact oil production, without altering the natural environmental balance.
Initiatives to promote and develop new markets for extra virgin olive oil, coupled with information systems making consumers aware about the origin of the extra virgin olive oil, allow Cooperativa Agricola to develop a collaborative relationship not only with its associates, but with all regional and national institutions so interconnected within the production and distribution system.
The ongoing effort to protect the territoriality is carried out through product traceability systems and Protected Geographical Indications (IGP) marks, which guarantee the high quality of the extra virgin olive oil.
