APPO is an Agricultural Cooperative Society. It was established in 1977 as an Association, and eventually became a Cooperative in 2015.

Since 2016, APPO has been producing oil under its own brand at Frantoi di Gradoli e Castel Cellesi – Bagnoregio (Vt) At a market level, several factors make the “Società Cooperativa Agricola APPO” standing out. First, the ongoing effort to enhance and promote the product at a national level by implementing environmental smart production techniques. In doing so, it also promotes environment and biodiversity protection. Such a goal it is achieved through 10 qualified professionals (agronomists and technicians) whose main activity involves providing the farms with technical assistance concerning low environmental impact farming techniques (integrated and organic production).
Moreover, backed by decades of experience, our technicians allow us to focus on the vital goal of improving farming conditions, from plant protection to soil management.
Much attention is paid is to both pruning and harvesting.
Regular bulletins are released in connection with olive growing monitoring in order to identify well in advance adverse conditions, such as the olive fly, and take timely and necessary actions.
Also, APPO offers technical assistance to olive mills in order to improve productions quality, a key factor to obtain oil traceability certifications.
Several activities and initiatives are promoted by the “Società Cooperativa Agricola APPO” in order to protect its associates and the end consumers.
